Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is the supervised use of ketamine as an adjunct to psychotherapy. At Journey Clinical, we provide eligibility screening, diagnosis, prescription management, and outcome monitoring for patients, while our network of trained, licensed mental health professionals deliver psychotherapy sessions for those patients in their own practices.
We believe that achieving excellent KAP outcomes requires a patient-centered, team-based approach between all members of the care team, including the patient’s primary care provider. In fact, impending changes to telemedicine laws will require that our patients have a referral from a PCP or other provider who has seen them in person.
Approximately 40% of our patients report not having a PCP. To address this, and to ensure that our patients experience continuity of care, we are building a directory of primary care providers who can assist with the in-person examination and referral requirement being enacted this November (final timing TBD based on the DEA).
